Quincy Dane misses her former day-care and kennel at Camp Run-A-Mutt Chula Vista, but she wants to share her new favorite pastime with all of you:
Quincy is a 5-year old Great Dane who lives on a cruising sailboat that just transited down the outside coast of Baja and will be spending the next year on the mainland then back in the Sea of Cortez for the summer. Quincy has decided she’s ok with boatlife and has a new favorite pastime….which is running up and down white sand beaches at high speed. Yep, I think that’s true freedom for her..the ability to just run for awhile and then be able to go back to her boat couch for a great snooze. Throw some food and bathroom breaks in there somewhere and you’ve got the makings of a complete Great Dane life on a boat. She also loves to be snuggled by her girls and occasionally bark at an errant panga that seems too close to the boat.
Good Morning, by the time you read this we will have left Muertos and will be somewhere close to the mainland coast of Mexico, bound for Banderas Bay. Hopefully this will be the third day and last day of the trip and we’ll have land in sight by the time this post drops. Quincy the Boat Dog LOVES mornings on the boat to go look for flying fish and bark at dolphins, especially when we’re under sail.
