As I watched this massive car carrier steam past the boat I was on, I was struck by questions that would never be answered, but swirl in my head now still as I look at the picture
I think about where this massive ship is going, why it’s leaving so late in the afternoon, where her crew is from and now many cars must be on her decks. I also think through how scary it would be to encounter her on one of my night watches.
